Las Vegas's 2009 Most Anticipated Event!! It's a TIE!!






2009 was a year that Las Vegas never saw coming. We always thought that we were pretty much insulated from the country/world's woes. We were hit hard but are still standing! These two events; the opening of The Lion King and City Center were I think what had the community buzzing the most! Cheers to 2010!!!

DISNEY’S THE LION KING BEGINS PERFORMANCES TONIGHT AT MANDALAY BAY IN LAS VEGAS First Ever Sit-Down Disney Theatrical Production Launched in Las Vegas
The Las Vegas premiere of Disney’s award-winning Broadway phenomenon, THE LION KING, begins preview performances tonight at 8 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Theatre.
Opening night for THE LION KING at Mandalay Bay Theatre is Friday, May 15 at 7:30 p.m. The show is performed Monday through Thursday evenings at 8 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4 p.m. During previews, there is no matinee Sunday, May 10 and no performance Tuesday, May 12. A limited number of seats may be available for same-day purchase; line starts forming one hour prior to curtain at the Mandalay Bay Theatre Box Office.
