GROUP OF RETURNING MARINES GIVEN NEW EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT BALLY’S LAS VEGAS
When a member of the Harrah’s Entertainment team became aware of a group of local Marines returning from Iraq who were in need of employment, she viewed the news as a call to action to reach out to the Reserve Marines from Las Vegas (Detachment 2, Bravo Company, 6 Motor Transport Battalion) and assist with securing positions for the returning unit at Bally’s Las Vegas. In cooperation with the Harrah’s Entertainment employment center and internal departments, Bally’s was able to offer seven local Marines full-time front of house positions (Security and Front Desk). An additional six Marines are completing the interview and hiring process at the resort.
Seven of the Las Vegas Marines will begin work early next week; additional members of the unit will begin work upon completion of the hiring process.
