Did anyone get their GC Approvals from USCIS Local Offices which are pending after the interview is complete? If anyone is waiting for local office cases what is the process they are following and how is the approval process?
I am waiting for my approval of my EB2 India with PD Nov 2004. it is pending in San Jose Local office
I guess applications pending at local office are unlucky guys :-(

I respectfully disagree with the statement that people who get interviewed are unlucky.
If you get an interview atleast your case is processed (FBI check and all are done prior to interview MOSTLY but not for all cases). Instead of that your file is s'h'itting at a bigger USCIS location it just sits in a local office. The concern that there is no way to find out where the file is when dates are current is true if your file is at a national ctr or at any other office. You cant do much.
In the case when file is at a local office you atleast know where it is and can try various things with the help of infopass and attorney. (Ask your lawyer and he/she should be able to tell you how to get GC when case is just waiting for a damn visa # and is at a local USCIS office)
Instead of not knowing where the file is, what has been processed or not its better to know that all you need is a VISA # and you can always prepare to get the real thing when you see the VISA BULLETIN and know that you are current for the coming month.........
If it does not make sense I probably wont have stamina to re-write....just too busy at work.........so I am hoping this helps.

I am sure you don't even have to be in the US to trade in US stocks. There are people that have never been to the US that participate actively in US stocks and just as Americans participate in some foreign markets too.

I was under the impression that there would be some talks about the discussed bills on floor this week.I see no signs of any debate or any discussion.I have some read some posts saying that nothing would happen this year. This really confuses me as I had & I think many of us had hopes that coming weeks would decide something.
I would appreciate if someone could give everyone very clear picture of what going on ?

Hello All,
One of my friends mentioned that there is a possibility that I-94 card could be stamped with the date on my current visa stamp at the port of entry. This would invalidate my wife's transfer since the new transferred visa is valid until 2009 whereas my stamping with my old employer is valid only until Dec 2007. In order to avoid this, should my wife submit her passport as well as the I-797 and I-539 from my current employer and ask the officer to stamp the new dates on the I-94? Please advise.

It would not invalidate the transfer, as legally there is no such thing as transfer it is always a new H1/4 what she loses is her extension period on I-94 and you will be forced to file an extension for her an unnecessary hassel. Usually if H1/4 travel together this problem rarely happens as the H4 spouse is automatically given same I-94 time as H1 per their new I-797. But some VO's surprise are still too new at their job to figure out the same for H4 travelling alone.

I wouldn't export it from photoshop at all.
Are you sure the tutorial called for you to export from photoshop? Can you provide a link to the tut?
I would:
Save for web as a png or a jpg, depending upon which looks better. Then choose "import" in Flash to import the object. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that you can directly import photoshop files into Flash as well. This could be useful if you have a many layered photoshop file which contains things like imported illustrator elements and such. I believe that the import keeps all the layers in place, as grouped object.

I am sorry while i was writing my initial post i missed adding NOT,
"As I am NOT on job at present, I can not produce any client letter at consulate in case if they ask. "
Let me add more on my scenario, I don't know how correct to use the word "laid off", my contract was ended in DEC-08 with client, but still my H1B holding company is paying me and said that they will support sending me all needed documents for H1B extension Stamping, asked me to take a vacation for a month or so (as any way i am going back to India for extension).
As "LostInGCProcess" said as long as my company is paying me, Will i have chances to get my extension stamping? or Shall I have to be on the job with Client and have to carry a letter of proof showing which client i work for?

Here's my scenario
I Was on H1B that Sponspored my GC with Comapny A, got my I140 Approved, passed more than 180 days after 485 and even got my EAD. Currently moved to a different company B that transfered H1B.I have my EAD that is not been used till now. Can I use my EAD to work on a part-time job. If I use are there any issues with H1B with my current employer or any issues while travellling. As I no longer work with the company that sponspored GC would working on a part-time EAD with another company create any problem with the GC process.

I think was just in anxiety !!!. My wife recieved FP notice around 5 days after I recieved. We both have appointment on same day and same time.
So bottom line even though it is frustrating , I think the best solution is to just wait :)

What was your shutter speed? I downloaded the image, but all I saw in the exif was some Mac Photoshop CS info..
I'm guessing stopping down that lens (like f/8-11) will probably yield you the best results on that 75-300. I've heard that it's soft on the long end too. Obviously with the available light, your shutter speed is going to have to figured from metering. You said it was sunrise, so I'm guessing your shutter speed was determining how much you could stop down, without needing a tripod and/or having the geese blur cause of motion.
If the 300D's AF is similar to the 10D, it's not the quickest. Don't touch a 1D or you will long to upgrade. :-)

Has there been any updates on the combined EAD + AP document? After the disappointing Sept 2010 VB, this atleast will lessen the pain...

EB2 gets unused EB1 quota. So potentially more GC numbers under EB2. Now I am not sure if EB1 is fully utilized or not so it might not really matter.
I have been thinking in what way EB2 vs EB3 matters after filing 485. Here is the scenario..
My friend (EB2-INDIA-Labor_Dec2005-485_receipt_Date_072007) and I (EB3-INDIA--Labor_Dec2001-485_receipt_Date_062007) have filed our I-485 almost same time...
Assume that all Dates are curent now...My friend was saying that he will get his GC prior to me since he is EB2...

Not a word said about this I485 fiasco on the two mostly watched networks (CNN, ABC). Why can't we try to get their attention in this matter. Please suggest ways of getting this published in the above networks.
I sent emails to CNN, ABC. NBC, FOX and know of atleast 2 more people who have done so. They are busy covering what Paris did in jail and why bush let libby out ..

I have e filed on 7/2, there was soft lud today, do you have a soft lud when ur FP notice is mailed? has anyone seen the same??thanks for your reply
I check with my freind who got it yesterday, his LUD or message did not change.Its was the same as from when he got the notice.
I'll have to do a change of address soon. Planning on doing it over the weekend.
