Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas Welcomes 400 New Colleagues with Style and Service that will Extend to Hotel Guests

Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas – opening December 4,2009 at CityCenter – remained true to the hotel group’s signature form as it pulled out all the stops for “Day of Delight,” an event to immerse its 400 newly hired colleagues in the Mandarin way. The luxury brand shared its legendary service and sophisticated style with a series of special surprises throughout the day. From entertainment by Cirque du Soleil and a magnificent parade showcasing custom Mandarin Oriental fans from across the globe to a formal pinning ceremony, “Day of Delight” was a hit among colleagues. But the highlight of the day was a spectacular fashion show starring the property’s executives to unveil 75 designer colleague uniforms, created by Cintas Senior Designer Sumi Morinaga and collaboratively imagined by Rajesh Jhingon, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas . Mr. Jhingon also stepped on the runway as he pledged his appreciation and excitement for all colleagues to be a part of Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas’ commemorative opening with an elaborate round-the-room champagne toast.
