Tacos & Tequila (T&T) will pay tribute to its most beloved holiday with its second annual 12-hour celebration of Cinco de Mayo. The fiesta will kick off on Wednesday, May 5, at 11 a.m. with sizzling Cinco de Mayo food and drink specials, a Mariachi happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m., “Cock-a-Doodle Duel” competitions and an action-packed fiesta hosted by former “CHiPs” star and Cinco de Mayo celebrity favorite, Erik Estrada.
In addition, Estrada and surprise guest judges will host Tacos & Tequila’s “Miss T&T Hot Tamale” pageant, sponsored by Hennessey Black. A stunning lineup of Vegas’ hottest muchachas will go head-to-head in a competition of brains, beauty and brawn to win the coveted title, $5,000 in cash, as well as become a spokesmodel for T&T and Hennessey Black. The search for Miss T&T Hot Tamale will commence on April 7 with rules, regulations and online registry forthcoming at www.tacosandtequilalv.com.
“Cinco de Mayo is our favorite holiday and this year T&T’s got everything short of a donkey,” said T&T co-owner Michael Frey . “Human rooster fights, hot ladies and Erik Estrada? Bring it on! Our fiesta will kick every other party’s piñata!”
T&T will waste no time getting started on this most sacred of all party days, with doors opening at 11 a.m. and the fiesta continuing until the last tequila shot is swallowed. T&T will debut the mysterious “Black Mambo Margarita,” featuring Hennessey Black cognac and Hornitos Tequila, and “The Golden Bull,” featuring Sauza Gold tequila and Red Bull, available for $5 each. Revelers will also enjoy $5 Hornitos shots from the sizzling Temptresses of Tequila, $5 Tecate and Tecate Light bottles and $5 Hornitos margaritas until 11 p.m. Appetizing food specials will be available all day long with a special happy hour menu from 4 to 7 p.m. featuring live music by T&T’s house Mariachi band. Ongoing Cock-A-Doodle Duel competitions and house DJ Ernan will keep the fiesta going well into the night and the Mischieve Photo Booth and airbrush tattoo station will provide the perfect ammunition for a memorable night.
