Children's Safety Day 2009 will take place Sturday 9/19/09 at the Galleria Mall at Sunset from 10:00 AM to 3:00 Pm. Free to the public this event will educate both parents and children about safety techniques and procedures that one day may save their lives. The event promises fun for the entire family; complete with variety acts, local performers, giveaways and Fox 5 Morning Anchor Jason Feinberg will be serving as emcee throughout the day.
Through demonstrations, children will be empowered to recognize unsafe situations, utlizie assertive behavior; and protect themselves and others from abduction or exploitation and will have the opportunity to be fingerprinted on-site, as well as the chance to interact with community heroes that keep us safe everyday, including firefighters, police and emergency personnel.
