If ever there was an "It" girl in The LV, it would have to be Xania Woodman. Whether glitzing her way down the red carpet or judging a cocktail making contest with TV Chef Bobby Flay on The Food Network (how does one get that job?) Xania is the epitome of all that is hip and cool in The LV!
After graduating from Cornell, Xania made a living cooking and slinging cocktails in a small town. Somewhere. The bright lights of The LV soon beckoned and Xania arrived just in time for the transformation of The LV from "family friendly" to VIP tables, bottle service and Ultra Mega Clubs. After stints at Club Rio and Shadow Bar, Xania put her "edgy and wildly entertaining writing style" (so sayeth the Nevada Press Association) to work at The Las Vegas Weekly. Her column, "Nights On The Circuit" became the must read stop on the way to a weekend in The LV.
Xania is a trooper of epic proportions when it comes to covering the scene in The LV 24/7.
" There has been such a massive explosion of nightclubs and parties that virtually every night of the week there's at least three pool parties, happy hours, pre-industry parties, prime time parties and afterhours going on simultaneously! One could literally party 24/7. That puts a lot more pressure on locals and industry members to be present at all of them. Those that actually try—god bless them", says Xania before heading out to, yet another, event.
With so many people wondering whether or not The LV will survive the present economic storm, Xania offers a simple few words. " Vegas is a trooper. We will not only rise above this economic situation but we will show other cities a thing or two and once again be a success model."
Ask Xania what the secret to living and having a great time in The LV and she offers a little bit of ancient, yet never out of date, advice, "tip everything that moves!"
