There's not too many places where you can eat super Jumbo sized Shrimp, Chicken and Waffles, Omelette Pizzas, and a Smoked Salmon Scramble followed by a huge puff of Pink Cotton Candy and Rice Krispies, for brunch!
Well, that's exactly what the "I Love Vegas" team did one recent Sunday. All for your benefit, of course.All of this was enjoyed poolside at the new Simon Restaurant and Lounge at the stunning Palms Place adjacent to the Palms Hotel.
Internationally known chef Kerry Simon brings the freshest ingredients available to your table from a 7am breakfast all the way to a late dinner at 11pm. His take on American classics will leave you satisfied as you enjoy the wonderful light filled room overlooking a lovely pool and patio area. Bright and airy, the room and the cuisine are both comfy and inviting.
His take on Southern traditions such as Chicken and Waffles or hearty East Coast favorites like "Surf and Turf" are balanced for you light eaters with a delicious selection of organic salads and Japanese specialities done "Simon" style.
As mentioned earlier, we finished off, well, half the menu, with an incredible voyage back to our childhood with a sampler platter of all of our favorite treats from long ago. There was a big "Junk Food Platter" to bring back those days before we began watching our waistlines and counting carbs. Cupcakes, Froot loop AND Rice Kripsy treats, homemade Brownies, Snoballs and, oh, I can't go on but you get the picture.
As we made our way, slowly, out of Simons, we all knew one thing.
We would be back!
