ONLY IN VEGAS: THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE LAS VEGAS WHAT IT IS: LALONNIE

If America is the Land of Dreams then Las Vegas must be its capital.

The perfect embodiment of that theory is LaLonnie. A star for many years in Europe and the U.S. through her singing career, this dance floor Diva ( known as Lonnie Gordon in her music career) has probably made you get up and boogie more than once with her string of dance hits such as the phenom "I'm Gonna Catch You".

Through the ups and downs of the showbiz world, LaLonnie has always come out on top and now is no exception. She recently signed with EMI Records in Europe and will be releasing a new single this spring.

LaLonnie came to Las Vegas as one of the stars of the mega hit "Zumanity", a Cirque du Soleil production. While she has always painted, LaLonnie has truly come into her own amidst the burgeoning art scene here in Las Vegas. The interest in her artwork has exploded to the point where she has been commissioned to paint pieces for Cirque du Soleil and has donated her work to be auctioned off to benefit various charities working to prevent HIV/AIDS.

LaLonnie's work is a vibrant, highly original melange of multimedia forms and powerful colors to tell the stories she has inside of her soul. Some of her favorite subjects are flowers, people and animals. "My art is a reflection of myself as a performer, writer, mother, daughter and human being. What you see is all of me", says LaLonnie.

Beautiful and unstoppable, LaLonnie is the embodiment of a performer, artist and personality. In other words, the perfect Las Vegas Diva!
