March is dedicated to the celebration and accomplishments of Women both nationally and internationally. In Las Vegas one local business MJ Christensen Diamonds established since 1939, stood apart and voiced their appreciation of several groundbreaking women. Nationally famous bridal designer Judith Conway, local favorite artist Jennifer Main and National Association for Moms In Business (NAFMIB) which was founded by local Nevadan Gina Robison-Billups, were feted and their accomplishments were recognized and glasses of champagne were raised in their honor.
Congressman Joe Heck’s office represented by David Edelblute presented an astonished Judith Conway with a Congressional Proclamation and stated that “Congressman Heck was proud to bestow this proclamation on such an outstanding and inspiring woman.” Also presented to Judith was a beautiful work of art with brilliant colors entitled “Her Complexities” which as Mr. Cliff Miller presented it cheerfully proclaimed “And this is what Judith brought into my life…but seriously we here at MJ Christensen Diamonds are honored that Judith has chosen our store to carry her line and represent her here in Las Vegas.”
Several beautiful raffles prizes were donated and the diamond pendant designed by Judith Conway was won by Jack and Kathy Woodcock. Kathy was overjoyed with her raffle win!
The guests enjoyed fanciful “Cupkates Las Vegas” by Kate Thompson www.cupkateslv.com as they mingled and browsed among the jewelry. In honor of Women’s Day a locally owned rum line of naturally flavored Kahunaville Rum was supplied to guests with refreshing drinks in exotic fruit flavors such as Mango, Banana, and a crowd favorite Black Cherry. For more information on their line please go to www.kprum.com.
All in all an inspiring night that was enjoyed by many!
