Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Creedence Clearwater Revisited Perform at The Orleans Showroom September 11-12
Creedence Clearwater Revival founding members Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford bring their band Creedence Clearwater Revisited to The Orleans Showroom for two nights, September 11 and 12.
The Creedence Clearwater Revisited show is more than a simple rock concert. It is a celebration and performance of the popular hits of ‘Revival,’ who gained initial notoriety and fame in the late 1960s. Well known CCR songs include “Travelin’ Band,” “Down on the Corner,’ “Bad Moon Rising,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?,” and a cover of the popular Marvin Gaye tune “I Heard It Through the Grapevine ,” among many others. ‘Revisited’ has released two live albums including the 1998 two disc Recollection and the 2006 The Best of Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
Joining Cook and Clifford as part of Creedence Clearwater Revisited are powerhouse lead singer and rhythm guitar player John Tristao, lead guitarist Tal Morris and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Steve Gunner. The Hollywood Reporter wrote of a Creedence Clearwater Revisited concert, “…an amazing list of hit after hit that was done serious justice by the players involved. The cheering crowd has big smiles and whoops of joy at hearing live some of the best American rock ever written and recorded.”
The Creedence Clearwater Revisited concerts at The Orleans mark the near conclusion of the group’s six-month 2010 tour throughout North America . Other key stops include the legendary Sturgis bike rally held at the Buffalo Chip Campgrounds in South Dakota and the River Roots music festival in Davenport , Iowa .
