Donald Schmidt, who is a citizen of Wichita, Kansas, pleaded guilty to distributing and storing child pornography in Wichita District Court on Monday. In his defense, he admitted to trading images of child pornography on the Internet via peer-to-peer.
Wichita Police sent a search warrant at Schmidt's house earlier this year and found two computers connected to the Internet as well as 11 boxes of CDs and DVDs.
According to Attorney Barry Grissom, the forensic analysis identified three million child porn images on a computer and an external disk drive of a suspect. Schmidt admitted often distribute child pornography. He also frequently chat online to talk about child abuse.
Schmidt faces charges 5-20 years imprisonment and a fine of U.S. $ 250 thousand over the distribution of the image, and demands 10 years imprisonment and a fine of U.S. $ 250 thousand over the ownership of the pictures.
