A direct quote from Dana who deals firsthand with the seniors: “Many of our low-income seniors live alone with pets as their only family,” said Dana Serrata, executive director of Helping Hands of Vegas Valley. “Our clients are unable to afford food for themselves, much less their pets. They don’t have the resources to feed their pets properly, so they share their own meals.”

They are delighted and grateful that Comedian/Actor Bobby Slayton who has starred in films “Dreamgirls, Get Shorty, Ed Wood” to name a few and Author/Adult Actress Sunset Thomas will be on hand to sign autographs and greet fans.

Bobby “The Pitbull of Comedy” Slayton is a well known animal supporter and you may not be aware but his own “best friend” is an adorable “Min Pin. – Gizmo.” He will be available from 2 pm – 4 pm at the Main Location for interviews and will be returning soon to Las Vegas for an exciting new limited run performance! You can help alleviate some of their hardship during the holidays. What we are asking the public for are donations of 2-5 or 6-8 lb. bags of either cat food or dog food which will be packed up and delivered on December 18th. All of the seniors are registered and pre-screened thru HHOVV.

Food donations will be accepted at all three Bogart’s Bone Appetit starting now and will continue until December 11^th. There will be an ULTIMATE LUXURY PRIZE for the individual who drops off the most food on December 4^th. The prize consists of a round of golf for four (including cart and balls) at the prestigious Canyon Gate Country Club!

Las Vegas is a community that gives back! We currently have several wonderful food/toy drives that take place annually. However it is our goal to draw attention to a group that is sometimes overlooked. Several low income Senior citizens rely upon Helping Hands of Vegas Valley to deliver their food and to take them to important Doctors appointments etc. We are hoping to help these seniors feed their pets who are their companions during the holidays and all year! When you are alone in the world and you have a companion such as your dog or cat and you have a specific amount of food each month ultimately some of the food will be shared and you have seniors not receiving enough nutrition. Of course this affects the nutrition for their pets also.

The event will take place on December 4^th at the Main location at Bogart’s Bone Appetit in the parking lot. From 1 PM -4 PM.

Roger Waters performed Pink Floyd's THE WALL at MGM Grand Garden Area

This show was a presentation of epic proportions. Roger Waters has brought back the Floyd masterpiece THE WALL for a 2nd tour (the last and first tour was in 1980-1981 with his band Pink Floyd) and tonight's show in Vegas was the 30th of a 36 show North American Tour Water's is calling his Farewell Tour and celebration of The Wall's

30th anniversary.

Waters has performed The Wall only one time since 1981 in Berlin Germany in 1990 to commemorate the fall of The Berlin wall.The new version of the 2010 Wall show featured many of the original theatrics and monumental stage sets and props from the original tour with an injection of new technology making it a state of the art presentation

in concert sound and visuals. The sound in MGM Grand Garden was absolutely perfect and music and sound effects surrounded the audience from all directions throughout.

The performance of Water's masterpiece, that he wrote while with Pink Floyd, took fans on a journey through the madness, addictions and struggles of the fictional character named Pink, loosely based on Water's himself. The album was born out of Water's own isolation, dissolution and lifelong fears. Water's and the band performed all 4 sides of the album and fans watched as the wall slowly went up brick by brick finally concealing the entire band behind the wall by the end of set 1. The Wall spanned across the entire MGM Garden Arena and the band returned to perform the bulk of the 2nd set behind the wall.

Water's laced the performance with modern themes and political and social messages making the show more topical for a modern audience and addressing issues he finds important to share with his audience. Water's addressed the crowd at the end of the show after the Wall was torn down in an explosive finale. He spoke about when he wrote The

Wall 30 years ago, and how he was in a different state of mind, frightened & isolated, but today he is a brighter more cheerful man and seems at peach with his place in life and he said how much he loved being on stage and being there with his fans.

If this is in fact his farewell tour, as he has stated, then it's quite an extraordinary exit he is making. Die hard Pink Floyd fans are still hopeful and waiting for him and David Gilmour to reunite one more time with drummer Nick Mason for a Pink Floyd tour....but it's unlikely and this is perhaps the final chapter for live Pink Floyd music. It's up to David Gilmour now.

"The King of Waltz" Dances into The Orleans Arena tonight!

Known as the “King of Waltz,” André Rieu returns to the Orleans Arena with his Celebration of Music Tour, Tuesday, November 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Mystic Falls is a Winter Wonderland at Sam's Town!

The Western pioneer-themed Mystic Falls Park, located inside Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall, will once again transform into a popular winter wonderland for the holidays! November 24 through January 2. To enhance the true holiday experience, Sam’s Town has partnered with Nellis Air Force Base for the Cell Phones for Soldiers program.

Sam’s Town will accept donations of used mobile phones for the Cell Phones for Soldiers program. Each phone donated to the program equates to an hour of talk time for soldiers abroad. Teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell, Mass., with $21 of their own money, founded Cell Phones for Soldiers. Since then, the registered 501c3 non-profit organization has raised almost $2 million in donations and distributed more than 500,000 prepaid calling cards to soldiers serving overseas.

Upon entering Mystic Falls, guests will be greeted with festive garland streams, whimsical snow covered lampposts and more than 50 glimmering trees adorned in lights. A dazzling 30-foot professionally decorated Christmas tree is sure to inspire holiday cheer.

As the holiday show begins, three new polar bear scenes and a river scene with two fishing polar bears come to life in their snowy surroundings. Like in the Western snowy mountains, snow floats from the sky capping the waterfall and mountain range. All the while, light images and shooting water dance to traditional holiday music including “Frosty the Snowman,” “Let It Snow” and “The Nutcracker,” placing guests in the middle of a magical winter wonderland experience in the heart of the Boulder Strip.

The free 15-minute winter show will take place at 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. nightly.

Seriously though this is a truly talented group and not to be missed! Levant Marcus as "Morris E. Day" just adds to the show and the musician’s rock! Jenny Dawson (Super Pro) and Brad Burton (Pro) are the overall points winners of the ninth annual Las Vegas Bracket Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sunday’s event was started by the wind was too strong to allow the track crews to keep the quarter mile clean and also wreaked havoc with the race cars. In the interest of safety, Sunday’s portion of the Thanksgiving Weekend speedfest was cancelled. Dawson (Long Beach, Calif.) and Burton (Golden, Colo.) earned the most points in their respective classes and were declared the overall winners. Burton won the Pro finals on Friday and Saturday, Dawson won Friday’s Super Pro finale that was held on Saturday.

UFC Fighter Vitor makes fans and little fans very happy!!

On Saturday UFC fighter Vitor Belfort held a signing of his cover of Fighters Only magazine at The Pearl at the Palms to kick off the World Mixed Martial Arts Awards. The awards show is an Oscar-style awards show that celebrates the world of MMA. The awards show will take place this Wednesday at The Pearl and tickets are still available. Kelly Ripa came in to Society Cafe Encore in Las Vegas for a mid-afternoon lunch with her husband Mark and their two boys. Kelly enjoyed the Market Chop Salad while Mark had the Tuna Nicoise Salad. The kids dined on the Kobe Dog and “Sloppy Joseph” Sliders. The table shared the Rock Shrimp and Crisp Calamari.

At a booth nearby, her co-host Regis Philbin enjoyed lunch with his wife Joy for the second day in a row. Regis had a Grilled Chicken Salad while his wife ordered the Tuna Nicoise Salad.
