Sharing is caring! Why not start off the New Year by giving one of your most precious resources - time:) Our (as my Mom) refers to her - human sister Erica donates time at the local MSPCA www.mspca.org in the Boston area. Here is what she has to say about volunteering and how rewarding of an experience it can be..BOL!
- What is it like volunteering at a shelter....
On my first day I was amazed at how much work volunteers put into caring for all the cats. It was nice to be around people who shared my love for cats and animals. The cats have a great setup at the shelter, they have two huge rooms with free roaming cats, townhouses for up to three cats and the cat condos for single cats. The cats all have such different personalities, its fun getting to know each one. It is so rewarding when you see a cat get adopted. I try and spend time with each cat and give them a little attention. I get so much joy out of volunteering at the shelter.
In Las Vegas there are several wonderful organizations that can always use an extra pair of paws or items donated. Below are some...plus there is a great nationwide rescue service that helps animals in the event of a catastrophe..Kat5Rescue. So go ahead and take your pick. Thanks for caring:)
