Las Vegas Legend Wayne Newton celebrated the Opening Night of his all-new show, Once Before I Go, with a star-studded red carpet and gala Weds. at Tropicana Las Vegas. Newton’s limited engagement production is in honor of his 50 years as an entertainment icon on the Las Vegas Strip.
The highlight of the evening was when “Dancing with the Stars” pro Cheryl Burke, made a surprise on stage appearance to support her favorite dance partner by adding a fedora and mustache to Newton’s ensemble, as she did during their final Tango performance in the 2007 season.
In addition to Burke, several sizzling “Dancing with the Stars” pros walked the red carpet and attended the premiere including Edyta Sliwinska, Alex Mazo, Anna Trebunskaya and Jonathan Roberts.
Surrounded by hundreds of onlookers, Newton kicked off the evening by walking the red carpet in pure Las Vegas Legend style. Also walking the red carpet and attending the premiere and after-party were celebrities including comedians and TV personalities Drew Carey and Wayne Brady, PEEPSHOW’s Holly Madison, Vanna White of Wheel of Fortune, and Sabrina Bryan of the girl group Cheetah Girls and Newton’s fellow contestant on “Dancing with the Stars.” Newton’s friends Louis Prima Jr. and Tracey Davis, daughter of Sammy Davis Jr. attended as did Las Vegas headliners Carrot Top, Zowie Bowie, Nathan Burton and Frank Marino and Dirk Arthur.
