honors late Police Officer James Manor
Local officer died in the line of duty in May
A pre-game ceremony to honor Metro Police Officer James Manor who died in the line of duty on May 7 will be held prior to the Oklahoma City Thunder versus Memphis Grizzlies game at 5 p.m. at COX Pavilion. Before he became a police officer, Manor worked for a city outreach sports program that went into at-risk neighborhoods. He was also a community basketball coach and former Clark County High School basketball player. The NBA Summer League has invited many of his friends and family members to join as they honor his contribution to the Las Vegas community.
