TAO kicked off Halloween weekend with a “Halloweighties” party for Worship Thursday hosted by pop star Debbie Gibson. The super fit Gibson arrived dressed as a sexy devil accompanied by boyfriend Dr. Rutledge Taylor who came as an angel. The couple and a group of friends feasted on Asian specialties before heading up to the nightclub.
Once in the club it didn’t take long for the 80’s décor to inspire the singer, who rose to fame during that decade. Gibson hopped on stage and treated the crowd to two of her hits, “Shake Your Love,” and “Out of the Blue.”
Spotted in the crowd scoping out the location of their upcoming Halloween bash were Twilight stars Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz, who headed straight for TAO after arriving in Vegas. The co-stars had dinner and Greene sampled the signature Tao Tini, then hit the club for the sounds of DJ Five and the surprise performance by Gibson. The two will host Veuve Clicquot’s Yelloween at TAO on Saturday.
Also getting an early start on the weekend was Sorority Row star Briana Evigan, who will celebrate her birthday at LAVO on Friday. Evigan, who turned 23 last Friday, sported spandex to get into the night’s theme and even brought along an era accurate accessory, her father Greg Evigan who starred in the 80’s sitcom My Two Dads. Her mother, brother and a group of friends came along and they took over a skybox at TAO where they danced the night away.
Over at LAVO Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke dined with her model boyfriend Max Zagorski. The couple shared a bottle of wine along with a Ricotta Meatball, Lobster Pizza and Penne ala Vodka and were heard raving about the food.
Also spotted dining at LAVO was actor Walter Perez, who can currently be seen on the big screen in the remake of FAME.
