Hans the Cutie!
Fabulous HCW Volunteers
Last Saturday night I had such a wonderful time! As a Canine Correspondent it is my job to bring you infurmation that has to do with animals and events that take place here in Las Vegas. We went out to the Heaven Can Wait Gimme Shelter Benefit Concert at Lake Las Vegas Resort featuring Jumping Jack Flash (great band!). The turn out was fabulous and I made so many new friends and if you take a look you will see a picture of the dachshund Hans that I was flirting with, he was a cutie!
The benefit’s goal was to raise money and awareness for the new project which is a high volume/high quality/no cost spay and neuter clinic (not sure what that is but they tell me it is VERY IMPORTANT!) This clinic will be able to help over 13,000 furs annually!! I know that every animal deserves a loving and furever home and this will help cut down on the number of unwanted pets in Nevada.
I asked the wonderful HCW staff, how people can help out and they said that money/donations are always welcome but so is volunteering. So if you can spare any of the above it sure would be welcome. The clinic is nearing completion but when asked what items would be on the wish list the answer was, “Construction items! Any type!” So hopefully with so many of the construction projects in the Valley; someone will have some items to donate!! It would be greatly appreciated and you would help out so many of us furs!
Please (BOL – Barking out Loud) remember if you have anything to donate call Heaven Can Wait – 702-227-5555 or go online to http://www/hwcs.org And a big pommie kiss to all of the volunteers and also to Lake Las Vegas!! OH almost furgot…they are having a “Mother’s Day Celebration” at the Stirling Club on Saturday…check the website for prices.
XOXO
