Celebrities will walk the red carpet at Oscar Night® Las Vegas
The excitement and glamor of Hollywood are coming to The City of Entertainment with dozens of celebrities scheduled to walk the red carpet at Oscar Night® America Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at 3:00 p.m., in the Brenden Theaters at the Palms Casino Resort.
This will be the only Oscar® viewing party in Las Vegas that is officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Among the celebrities scheduled to arrive by limousine at the West Entrance of the Palms Casino Resort are: NASCAR racing driver Taylor "The Bomber" Barton; Chet Buchanan, host of "The Morning Zoo" on KLUC-FM; Kevin Burke, star of "Defending The Caveman;" master magician Lance Burton; Jennifer Cloer, co-star of "Peepshow;" Travis Cloer, the "Frankie Valli" star of "Jersey Boys;" Anthony Crivello, Tony Award winner and star of "Phantom of the Opera;" comedian Geechy Guy, star of "The Dirty Joke Show;" Mayor and Mrs. Oscar Goodman; UFC fighter Frank Mir; Alain NU, star of the TLC Network TV specials "The Mysterious World of Alain Nu;" comedian-magician Murray Sawchuck; Russian fashion designer Tatyana, CEO of Betty Paige Clothing; Dao Vu, co-host of "The Morning Blend" on KTNV-TV; rap recording artist Mo Wiley and The World Famous Ink Spots, to name just a few.
Autographs and photo opportunities with the celebrities will be available to event ticket holders.
In addition to the local red carpet festivities, Oscar Night® America Las Vegas will feature theater viewing of the live telecast of Hollywood red carpet arrivals and the 83rd Academy Awards®, plus an official after-party at The Playboy Club in the Palms Casino Resort.

Proceeds from Las Vegas Oscar Night® will benefit Variety, The Children’s Charity of Southern Nevada, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life for local children with special needs.
This is the 18th year that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has cooperated with local charities to support official Oscar Night® viewing parties throughout the country. More than $3 million was raised last year in 51 cities. All money raised stays in the local communities.
