Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns, a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since the ’70s, will perform every Saturday night inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station beginning May 2. The shows begin at midnight and there is no cover.
Today, Santa Fe has combined with The Fat City Horns to create a 15-man band that features a six-piece horn section and a nine-piece rhythm section which includes four lead singers. The majority of the band consists of working musicians for shows on the Strip such as “Jersey Boys,” “Wayne Brady,” “The Lion King,” “Donny & Marie” and Bette Midler’s “The Showgirl Must Go On,” which employs the entire horn section. On Saturday nights, the dynamic band will get together and jam, playing a mix of original songs and covers, creating an unparalleled sound that seamlessly blends funk, soul, salsa and jazz.
